School Guidelines

Welcome to Mumbo Jumbo!  We look forward to seeing your child in our exciting classes soon!
To ensure that your child gets the most enjoyment out of the classes, please read and follow our class guidelines below.

Make-up arrangements for a missed lesson:

• If the student is absent for personal circumstance, without informing us in writing at least one day before, there will be no make up lesson.
• If the student requests for a sick leave, medical certificate is required.
• Please fill out the required form (for sick leave, please attach a copy of medical certificate.) to request a make-up lesson one week prior to the date in question.
• Mumbo Jumbo will extend the courtesy of ONE make-up lesson per month.

Tuition fees:

• School fees are due before the first lesson is taken.
• Fees must cover at least one month (minimum). No individual class fees or partial payments are accepted. (Please refer to our school fee list for specific charges.)
• Fees payable by cash or cheque only.
• Fees are non-refundable, and missed class fees cannot be deducted from the next month’s payment.

Weather Arrangement:

• Amber and Red Rain or Typhoon Signal Number 1 and 3: CLASSES AS USUAL. Office remains open.
• If the following signals are hoisted TWO HOURS prior to the scheduled class:
  Black Rain or Typhoon Signal Number 8 or higher
  We do not hold classes when these signals have been raised. We regret that we cannot arrange make-up classes for these enforced closures. The office is closed.
  Classes will resume two hours after the Black Rain or Typhoon No. 8 has been lifted
• Please prepare your child to be a good Mumbo Jumbo student. Please make proper arrangements for your child to be here on time. Students should also remember to bring a sharp pencil, eraser and any other stationary equipment they may need. Only English is to be spoken in the classroom. Persistent disruption due to speaking another language will result in the student being asked to leave Mumbo Jumbo.
